BENJANI SIGNS NEW DEAL

Blackburn striker Benjani has signed a new deal with the club after his contract expired. The 32-year-old scored only three Premier League goals for Rovers last season and his contract has expired.

But the former Zimbabwe international revealed he has been offered a new 12-month deal by Rovers boss Steve Kean.

He told the Lancashire Telegraph: "Yes, I will be back at Blackburn again next season."
