The future of Blackburn manager Steve Kean is still under doubt after it was revealed that Blackburn are yet to make a decision even after two days of talks.

Blackburn's Indian owners are currently in discussions with Steve Kean over the issue that has caused a lot of fury amongst the supporters. Steve Kean was seen in the video, which was taken during the pre-season, criticising the tactics of former manager Sam Allardyce and also saying that he expects Blackburn to finish in the top half of the table. He also used foul-mouthed language when criticising the former manager, which is expected to attract legal attention.

Blackburn's Indian owners revealed after the club's relegation from the Premier league that they intend to keep Steve Kean as the manager in order to provide continuity. It is also thought that Steve Kean was even drafting plans to bring in a number of experienced players in the summer.

However, the recent revelation has thrown his future into doubt, although many suggest that Steve Kean will be kept at the club in a different role. It is uncertain whether Blackburn will be looking at the prospect of returning to the Premier league at the first instance. They have spent very little money since taking over the club one and a half years ago.

"When I go out and speak with the owners, we will talk about what went on last season and the rebuild programme will stay within the club. We will move forward. I will be going out to speak to the owners and will be continuing the talks we have already had and build as competitive a squad as we can," said Steve Kean after the final match of the season against Chelsea. It could well be the last Premier league match Blackburn have played for a few years.
