Jack Doyle may start for Blackburn Rovers on Saturday against Bristol City
Paul Lambert has stated that he might consider giving Jack Doyle his first start for Blackburn Rovers in the game against Bristol City.

With Tommy Spurr still injured, the young left back might get his chance to make his debut in the team.

If he starts, Jack Doyle will be the second youngster that has been handed his league debut after Lambert promoted Connor Mahoney to the first team in the match against Nottingham Forest.

The Blackburn manager is that he does not have any issues in handing youngsters debut because of lack experience. He believes that if they are good enough to be in the first team squad, then they should be good enough to play. He says that sometimes you need to send them on the field to see how they behave. It is the only way to test them and to know whether they will develop into a quality player.

Paul Lambert said that Jack Doyle is good at defending and that opponents playing against him will be in for a hard game. The manager stated that the youngster is always focused in training and is willing to learn. He added that the player is hard to beat and that he stick with his job on the field and has an impressive work rate.

Lambert has a history of promoting youngsters in his team. Before giving his debut to Connor Mahoney last Tuesday, he has already given his chance to DarraghLenihan, who is now an established player in the first team.

Blackburn Rovers will also be boosted by the return of Craig Conway. The latter was suspended for the game against Nottingham Forest after having been sent off in the previous match. This will definitely boost Blackburn attack which was quite disappointing in the game against Forest.
