Tony Mowbray In Contention For West Bromwich Albion Role
Blackburn Rovers manager Tony Mowbray has emerged as a surprise candidate to become the next head coach of West Bromwich Albion. The 54-year-old previously guided the Baggies to Premier League promotion back in 2008 but the failure to beat relegation saw him dismissed 12 months later.
According to The Mirror, the Baggies are already contemplating the prospect of recruit a new manager with Darren Moore placed on temporary charge for the remainder of the campaign. Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes and Leicester City assistant Michael Appleton have been associated with the vacancy, but Mowbray has been linked with a probable return owing to his experience of coaching in the Championship.
