Blackburn were in a great position when the season had to be suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic. The team was just three points away from the top six positions with 27 points to play. As a result, the team had the momentum necessary to get back into the play-offs and compete for a return back to the top flight. Now, however, the season has been suspended and the potential date for resumption has been pushed back with every week.

It looks highly unlikely that the season may resume considering that it will leave very little time for next season.Evans has just returned from a serious injury that has kept him out of action for quite a while. The Northern Ireland midfielder picked up a facial injury that prevented him from making an impact in the team.
