Blackburn’s showing at Bournemouth the other day has given Bowyer a bit of hope.

If you have a lead of 2-0 and the opposition team is a player short, you’ve got to win the match from there; otherwise, your manager has every right to be raising questions over your commitment.

Gary Bowyer, the Blackburn Rovers boss, was absolutely fuming while addressing the media at the end of the game versus Millwall FC. He could not believe his boys had thrown away the advantage.

It was a fantastic opportunity for Blackburn to make take their consecutive victory count to 4, but, that wasn’t the case to be.

Blackburn missed a great opportunity to improve their league standing after only managing a 0-0 draw with Huddersfield Town during the weekend. They, however, could have taken three points had it not been for the missed penalty by striker Jordan Rhodes. The club record signing has been one of the best players in the Championship since his £ 8 million move. This even led to links with Newcastle United and other Premier League clubs in the summer. Blackburn, though, persuaded Rhodes to stay at Ewood Park despite being in the Championship.

Manager Gary Bowyer was looking to improve the inconsistency in terms of results, but there was more of the same after this latest defeat. Ben Marshall helped Blackburn opened the scoring after just a minute on the clock.

Both the teams scored a goal each and the match was a draw.
